Dragon Age Origins: Mage Origin 3 by HayleyElise Dragon Age Origins: Mage Origin 3 by HayleyElise
So I finally got around to doing a proper photoshoot with this costume! And it was amazing. I've been putting this shoot off for months for lack of a proper/inspiring location but finally I found it.
The design is from the mage origin art done by Jason Chan, you can see all the pictures here- [link]

All photos were taken by :iconkrisez: and you can find more on his page. I'll have more photos on the way!

I really like the angle of this shot. Also like the contemplative look on your face. Just the whole thing, the costume, the setting - it's beautiful. Well done!

Its probably the only place of it's kind you'll find in Australia, haha.
And thank you very much!
It's the first costume I've made that I'm really proud of.

I would imagine so. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in Canada that hasn't already either been knocked down or protected as a heritage site and restored. Sometimes beauty comes in the decay and ruins...

If you don't mind my incessant curiousity, how long did it take you to create it? I'm hoping to work on something of my own and am trying to gauge the length of time I'm going to need.

The property is heritage listed but just nothing's been done to it, and it's privately owned. Both sad and awesome at the same time.

It took me probably... 6 months all up to make, but that's kind of working on it on and off. It was a solid week to make all the little props, 2 days to make the actual dress, and probably another week for the corset?

So pretty Mew! The location suits this costume perfectly. :) Good to see this place is still accessible, I haven't been there since Laura took me to shoot her Beatrice.

Haha were you the photographer for that one? Yeah it's a lot more overgrown now, and a bit more run down, but at least it's still accessible and still really lovely.

Thats good to hear! :) I'm glad they haven't shut it off yet.
I was just for a few pics. I mostly took a lot of scenic shots because the place is so damn pretty! I'm glad to see the location getting used, its kind've just been sitting there waiting for the right cosplay to come along. So your costume worked perfectly. :D

Hahah yeah. I'm surprised how many people we encountered around there though, just people going to have a look. It was pretty cool.

Really? Thats good. I was worried they would've shut it off, but I guess its hidden enough they're not so bothered.

It doesn't seem like they're doing anything with it, which is actually kinda sad. There's 3 graffiti tags on the actual house which is really upsetting.
Back in 2005 they were meant to be restoring it? But no one who manages the estate has been there in months, if not years, I think.

Yeah I would've sworn that they would've idk fenced it off or something when they started building the new houses there a couple years ago. Its a shame because its heritage listed and really needs a little TLC. D:

They haven't actually started building anything else though have they? Except for that big fancy new road.
